I came along today ready for something different… the inaugural CIPD Festival of Work. A new offering from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. During day one I attended conference sessions, walked the exhibition floor, chatted to folk, took part in seated yoga plus mindful colouring on a giant colouring wall. All in a days work at the new CIPD #FestivalOfWork.Read more
It is always a pleasure to be asked to get involved with the CIPD conferences, this time it’s the #FestivalOfWork at Olympia in London.
I’m heading to the Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday 12 June. I’ve been invited to attend the conference as one of three people who will be sharing Festival updates and insights. I’ll be there all day, dipping in and out of conference sessions and walking around the free exhibition.Read more
I was delighted to be asked, by the CIPD, to speak at their learning and development conference this year.

I’m really pleased to be attending both days of the CIPD’s Annual Conference and Exhibition (8 and 9 Nov 2017) this year (so excited, in fact, that I have already selected my conference sessions). I am delighted to be part of the Blog Squad for 2017’s CIPD L&D Show. The theme this year has really had me thinking.. Make every day a learning day. Wow! That’s a theme and a half, isn’t it?
Earlier this month I attended the CIPD Organisational Development (OD) Conference 2016. It was an insightful and interesting day. We heard from a variety of different speakers who were all kind enough to share with us their experiences and insights into the world of OD.
I was part of a two-person Blog Squad alongside Meg Peppin. Meg and I tweeted like crazy through the day and Meg also live blogged a couple of the sessions. To catch up on the shares from the day, you can check out the Twitter hashtag #cipdOD16 and blogs via Meg’s website. Read more
The CIPD’s Learning and Development Show is an annual event. It is the place to hear from inspiring speakers, suppliers in the world of learning solutions / technology and the opportunity to network with fellow practitioners.
I have been attending the L&D Show for a number of years now, sometimes attending the conference & exhibition and other times just the exhibition. I think it is important as Learning Professionals that we attend such events, to take time to step away from the busy worlds we are in and to grow our knowledge and understanding of the industry.
