I am just about to head to the post box to send a little card to someone I love, and it got me thinking. I have always loved sending and receiving cards & letters. There’s something quite special about them, I think.
You don’t need fancy writing paper or ink to pen a word or two to someone you care about.
Writing feels personal, caring, and loving. I believe there is a connection created when writing to someone.
When was the last time you wrote to someone? Just a few lines, saying ‘Hello’, asking how they are, updating on how you are.. often simply saying you’ve been thinking of that person, it can bring a smile.
I’m not one for ‘New Year’s resolutions’ but I like intention setting, and my intention for 2022 is to consider how I can build, maintain, create connections with others. It feels like a good thing for me to do this year.

I’m a big fan of letter writing and sending things in the post – and so I definitely agree with you that a connection is created when you write to someone, because I’ve felt it myself.
As for New Years resolutions I’ve decided not to set any this year and to just embrace where I am and this moment. My intention is to enjoy happiness in the now and actively seek it out instead of chasing it or waiting for it.
