Speaking at CIPD NAP Conference about personal learning networks
It is a common theme amongst HR/L&D professionals that we are so busy supporting others that we hardly take time out for ourselves. To be effective practitioners surely we need to take time out regularly to reflect and build our own skillset? Like the safety demonstration tells us: “put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others!”
At CIPD NAP conference I spoke about personal learning networks (PLN), and how we all have different ways we learn, find out new ideas and interact with those around us – but how often do we take stock and check we are getting the best from it?
Lots of external sources of learning (Twitter, podcasts, websites) but how often do we count ourselves? @fionamcbride #cipdnap17 #F8 pic.twitter.com/zeN9EBE6OO
