I started my career in Human Resources and after completing a Master of Science in Personnel & Development, I recognised my true passion was in the specialist area of learning and development.
Throughout my career I have developed, designed and delivered such interesting and engaging learning and development initiatives for all levels of staff. A wide variety of programmes and workshops have been designed to develop interpersonal skills such as influencing, motivation, presentation & facilitation and communication.
Within my work I also provide mentoring and coaching to help support individuals to try the new skills back in the workplace. I really enjoy working one-to-one with people, it is great to see their confidence building and how proud they are when they try something new and it works!
I am all about realistic sustainable learning. It is important we give individuals time to practice their new skills, build the confidence in their new abilities and learn from the challenges that come with trying new things.
Over the past five years a big focus of my work has been on the design and delivery of management development programmes. I am passionate about making a difference in the workplace through effective management development. I love working with new and existing managers to build their skills and helping them to find their own management style and approach.
I have worked with senior managers to design and deliver effective manager programmes; with new supermarket store managers to build strong leadership skills; new and existing managers to gain ILM level 3 and 5 qualifications, plus short intensive development programmes for fast paced private sector company managers.
I approach client and associate work in a positive way, ensuring I fully understand the needs of my clients because I believe it is important that all learning and development aligns to the strategic focus and goals of an organisation.
